sas0809_cover_web.jpgThe second issue of Suffolk Arts+Sciences is at the printer and will be shipped next week. Issues are mailed directly from the printer to alumni, University staff, trustees, and to the home addresses of current students. Copies will also be mailed to students’ local residences when the addresses are available in October.  We’ll be stocking the lobbies around campus with copies, and you’re also welcome to stop by the Dean’s Office on the first floor of the Donahue building, 41 Temple Street to request copies.

The new issue includes stories about the Alternative Winter Break in El Salvador, teaching and mentoring African American students, Suffolk icon Coach Jim Nelson, and a student play about homelessness in Boston.

We also highlight six of our outstanding faculty in the new section “Innovations & Excellence,” and shine the spotlight on seven exemplary students in the recurring “Standout Talent” department. The “After College” alumni pages illustrate the College’s vibrant alumni community and events held throughout the year. And once again, “The Gallery” is a visual feast of some of the gorgeous artwork created by faculty and students at New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University.  “New on the Hill” continues to offer an inspiring picture of exciting new developments at the College and University.

Pick up a copy, better yet, pick up two and send one to a friend or parent to share the dynamic stories and images of the College of Arts & Sciences community!
