Suffolk Arts+Sciences magazine has gone digital. After much research into suppliers of digital editions, we picked a vendor and had the print issue converted for online readability. Click here to view the digital version.

With the success of the print magazine, why go digital?
Digital publishing helps to distribute print materials in an easy-to-read format over email and the Internet using standard Web browsers. This enables the magazine to be read by anyone visiting the Web site, and presents a seamless and enjoyable reading experience that simulates flipping through the pages of a hard-copy publication.
Portable Document Format (PDF) files are a common standby for making documents available online, preserving style and design but lacking the fluid readability of a digital conversion. On the magazine’s web page, both PDFs and the digital edition are available for viewing, sending, printing or downloading all or part of the magazine.
Other benefits include savings on postage and paper expenses. Our international alumni do not receive print copies of the magazine due to the high cost of shipping; by providing them with a digital edition, they can stay connected and receive the magazine by email as soon as it’s available, and read it on any computer.
Digital publishing is also the direction publications must head to stay competitive and relevant in an ever-evolving marketplace. Going entirely digital may be somewhere in publishing’s future; in the meantime, print and online editions complement each other through both form and functionality.
