Michelle Bolser, Educational Technology Coordinator, CAS & Elaine Garofoli, Educational Technologist, SBS will present an overview of the synchronous features of BB including Wimba Live Classroom and BB Text chat.  Topics will include text only chat, audio with text, two-way audio, screen and application sharing, whiteboard sharing and live Powerpoint. Additionally, we will demonstrate techniques to use during synchronous sessions which result in student participation and serve as means to facilitate more orderly interaction. Tool applications include conducting live class meetings, online office hours, and enabling/encouraging students and student groups to utilize synchronous tools both during instructor-led class sessions and/or among themselves outside of instructor-scheduled meeting times.
