Michelle Bolser, Educational Technology Coordinator, CAS & Elaine Garofoli, Educational Technologist, SBS will present overviews and examples of the advanced features in Blackboard that give you the possibility of enhancing student participation and success while facilitating easier course management.  Topics will include use of Discussion Boards, Tests, Quizzes and Surveys, setting up Student Groups for group work and collaboration, using the Gradebook, Adaptive Release, and creating Assignments with instructions, submissions, due dates, and point values.  Following the session, faculty are invited to make appointments to meet individually with their School-based ED for hands-on training and practice in using these tools to develop their courses.
