Student Survey: CAS Student Computer Labs

Across two days during finals week, the Academic Computing work study staff conducted an informal random survey of over 75 students in both the Donahue and Fenton student computer labs.
Following are the results:
Computer Ownership: Laptop or Desktop
Computer Ownership: Mac or Windows (PC)
Computers: Macs in the Student Labs
Upcoming Computer Purchases:

Additionally, students were asked for suggestions regarding ways in which the computer labs could be improved. Overwhelmingly, the most common suggestion from students was to add more computers and/or more labs. Ranking second among suggestions was to add more Macs. Other suggestions included: add copy machines; add scanners; more/better printers; longer hours; add discussion areas or rooms; add video-editing/multimedia tools and software.
